At this time in Lehman Catholic Football History

Well, its High School Football season. There have been some pretty memorable season openers in Lehman Football History. During my Four years at Lehman, the Cavaliers were victorious in All Four Games. Beating Ansonia Convincingly.

Here are some of the memorable opening night games for Lehman Football.

1992: Lehman wins a Triple Overtime thriller at Piqua's Wertz Stadium against Ansonia thanks to the heroics of kicker Rusty Badgett

1993: Lehman opens up at historic campaign beating Ansonia thanks to the running of Ryan Soloman.

1996: My first High School Game as a member of Lehman Student, we beat Ansonia 62-7, at Julia Lamb Stadium behind Kevin Darner's 4 touchdowns and Justin Frantz opening his High School Career with two Rushing TD's

1998: Lehman begins the 1998 Campaign with a convincing win over Ansonia at Wertz Stadium, but the bigger moments of that season happened in the next two weeks.

2001: The Cavaliers open up Jeff Uhlenake's Lehman Carrer with a convincing win over Akron Manchester at the new Piqua Alexander Stadium. The Cavaliers would go on to the State Semi's bowing out to Marion Pleasant.

2002: Lehman opens up the season with a hard-fought 31-26 Victory over St. Henry

On this date in Major Sports History

On this day in 1994, Major League Baseball went on Strike. The last game that night, was between the Mariners and Angels. Randy Johnson pitched. The playoffs were canceled and so was the World Series. I talk to some people today and they would say that they refuse to get into baseball because of the strike in 1994
