A Classic... 2-14 in the last 16 is frustrating

I don't know how to begin, yesterdays Michigan Ohio State game was a classic. I have gone back and fourth between cheering for the two teams. From 2005-10, I cheered for the Buckeyes and did not like who I was doing it. Let's face it, Jim Tressel was never going to lose during those years to Michigan, especially to Rich Rod. Jake Long, Mike Hart and Chad Henne, 3 of the greatest Football players in UofM History... 0-4 against Ohio State and I feel bad for those 3 guys. 2011, Michigan got lucky. If Braxton Miller connects with Devier Posey late in that game, Ohio State is 15-1 in the last 16. I decided in 2011 to rejoin the Michigan bandwagon and I am proud of it. It's frustrating to see the Buckeyes year after year come out on top in the game. I remember something the GOAT said in the espn documentary Bad Boys about the Bulls struggles with the Pistons. I can't hold that unhappiness and anger towards Ohio State for a long time. There is a reason why the Bucks are 14-2 in the last 16, better players, there teams are better (not in 2004) their coaches out prepare Michigan, out think Michigan. What must the Wolverines do to win some games in this rivalry. Drew Henson I hope will not be the last Michigan QB to win in Columbus some day. I feel bad for the Michigan fans who have had to endure this every year. Were going to come out on top one of these years. Keep the faith Wolverine Fans, Buckeyes can't win every year. Ohio State did not play well at all yesterday, but like 2002, made the plays when it mattered most. I said this every year since 2002 and know I will say this... Will Allen and Urban Meyer, how lucky can you be.

Two words we should ask ourselves every day... What If

Its hard for me to believe that its been over 15 years since I made a life changing choice. It was the early part of the 1st semester of my second year at Edison, a semester I was enjoying. I was taking a communication class and it was time to decide a major. Prior to this, my childhood dream was to be a sports commentator. Sports are something I am very passionate about and something I love more than life itself. Every time I watch sportscenter, the anchors usually miss a sports stat that I know. Two words we should ask ourselves every day, "What If". After a few weeks and not being the biggest fan of Literature, (my sister who is a High School english teacher can tell you that), I decided to give something else a try. Now did I think I did not want to pursue my childhood dream after that... I don't know. I decided to go with Business Management as my first major and had ideas on how I was going to use it: sports bar, Quiznos, Video Store, Coffee Shop. Then I decided to change majors for the only time in 2005 to Marketing/Sales. I am glad that I made that choice, one fewer accounting class and one fewer credit hour. In August of 2010, I got the itch to want to pursue my childhood dream again. There has not been a 3 day time span in the last few years of my life where I wish I can go back to 2001 and have more time to reconsider my decision. People today ask me, "why aren't you doing something sports related with your life". I wish I knew. I did not know about Sports Management, Sports Marketing until 2006 and I was focused on getting done with school at the time. I don't mind what I do now. I am trying to find ways to make me happy. I found a new niche, promotional products. I am now in charge of a few things at where I work, getting new polo shirts and promotional products. For as long as I am employed where I am, sports will always be my life's first love.

Jake Long, Mike Hart and Chad Henne were great but...

Former Michigan greats Jake Long, Mike Hart and Chad Henne were great football players at Michigan and all had outstanding careers. One stat a lot of fans are not too big of... 0-4 against the Buckeyes.

Ohio State vs TTUN

It may not be the classic #1 vs #2 from ten years ago, but it appears we have a classic match up waiting Saturday Afternoon in Columbus. Ohio State is 13-2 in the last 15 against TTUN for a reason. Better players, better coaching and their players now how to win in The Game. The last Michigan Quarterback to win in Columbus was... Drew Henson. The last two Michigan quarterbacks to beat Ohio State have one thing in common, both wore #16, John Navarre and Denard Robinson. I have to give the edge to Ohio State in this one, home crowd, seniors have not lost to TTUN,

Would have loved to have seen Michigan play Ohio State undefeated...

I would have loved to have seen Michigan play Ohio State as an undefeated team. In the last 15 years of the rivalry, Ohio State has gone in with the better record 11 times. We all remember the John Cooper days when Ohio State went in undefeated and Michigan beat them, it would have been neat for the Buckeyes to flip the script.

Congrats to the Cubs and what a series

Wow, 108 years is over. HOW BOUT THEM CHICAGO CUBS. You don't win 103 games during the Regular Season, get this far and lay down. I knew they were going to win Game 5 with Lester on the hill. When Addison Russell hit the Grand Slam in Game 6, I knew there was going to be a Game 7. This series was too good not to go to what Lebron James calls the greatest two words in sports, Game 7. I feel bad that I fell asleep in the 8th inning, but I could not be happier for the city of Chicago, people on the North Side and most important of all... Steve Bartman. Someplace, somewhere, Ernie Banks, Ron Santo and Harry Carey are smiling down on Wrigley Field. I can't wait for the parade tomorrow, I will watch it at work.
