goodbye lukeschlater.blogspot.com
Well, after a few weeks of giving it some thought, I am going to be removing my personal blog page; lukeschlater.blogspot.com. I have taken a lot of heat for the stuff i have put on my page and received a lot of AC's for the things I have posted on there. So in the next few days, lukeschlater.blogspot.com will no longer be available to anyone. thanks
Goodbye Tressel; thank you for the memories
Well, after 10 years and months of speculation, Jim Tressel is out as Ohio State football coach. He was a joy to everyone in Buckeye nation. I enjoyed watching the Buckeyes play while Tressel was the coach. In 2004 after Ted Ginn's punt return against the Maize and Blue, I decided it was time to join the Buckeyes fan club. I did not like seeing Ohio State dominate Michigan like they were at the time. The Buckeyes made 8 BCS games during Tressel's tenure. Winning the 2003 BCS Title against Miami and winning thrillers against Notre Dame in 2006, Oregon in 2010 and Arkansas in 2011.
Thank you for everything you did for Buckeye football. You will be missed.

Mike Brown, a good fit for the Lakers
Mike Brown, who coached the Cleveland Cavaliers is the new coach of the LA Lakers. I think he is a good fit for the Lakers. Defense wins championships and he is a defense first coach. I can see Kobe winning two or more championships by the time his career is over.

At this time 10 years ago... A return to my life's hobby and passion
It was about this time 10 years ago when I made my return to the world of video games. I began by playing a season with the Houston Rockets on NBA Live 99. The Rockets starting five that season would include: Justin Seger, Mitch Geise, Tony Staley, Tony Cianciolo and myself. I would set the single season assist record that season and then get traded to the Phoenix Suns. The Rockets began their first campaign in my comeback tour with a 65 point victory over the Golden State Warriors. I would tally 25 Assists in the opener. Tony Cianciolo and Tony Staley would score 26 and 23 points respectfully. The Rockets would go on to win the NBA Championship, sweeping the Orlando Magic in the Finals.

On this day Last year: LeBron's Last game as a Cleveland Cavalier
It was one year ago today that Lebron James played in his last game as a Cavalier. Despite a Triple Double, The Cavaliers fell to the Celtics by 9 and lost the series in 6 games.

The Laker's and Phil say bye bye
Well, Bye bye to one of the NBA's best teams, The Lakers. The Dallas Mavericks were too much for them to overcome in the 2nd round and the Mavs also said So long to Phil Jackson.
The Heat are one win away from beating the Celtics. The Thunder and Grizz are even after four games.

At this time 12 years ago
Twelve years ago, Mom, Dad, Eli and I went down to Cincinnati to meet Rick and Angie to watch the first two game of the Reds Cubs series at Cinergy Field. The Cubs jumped out to a 2-1 lead after the middle of the 9th inning. With one runner on base, Sean Casey was up to bat and was facing a two strike count. He then doubled off the right center field wall to put runners in scoring position. Cincinnati Native Barry Larkin came to the plate and hit the walk off double to bring both runners in. The crowd would chant “Barry Barry”.
The very next day, the Cubs would get the better of the Reds. The Cubs were lead by Benito Santiago’s two Home Runs and then Sammy Sosa came up in the top of the 7th inning and drilled a solo home run into the Red seats at Cinergy Field. With the Cubs leading the Reds 7-4 in the ninth inning, left fielder Greg Vaughn stepped up to the plate and nearly hit a game tying three run home run, but he missed it by 10 feet. The Cubs held on for a 7-4 win. I remember that night, The Lumsden’s, Mom, Dad, Eli and I went to the Revolving Restaurant in Cincinnati to have dinner and Benito Santiago was there eating dinner that night. It was a fun filled weekend.

Getting syked for Golf weather
Well, its Spring time and I am getting ready for some golf action. Five-six years ago, I did not care for the sport. Someone in the Schlater Family needed to keep Herb Schlater's Legacy going. I'm going to Naples in August, just like I did last year. I am so excited to go back. Later
