The Pittsburgh Steelers invaded Indianapolis and the RCA Dome on January 15, 2006. The Colts were coming in as the #1 seed in the AFC and the Steelers were coming off a 31-17 victory over the Bengals.
The Steelers jumped out to an early lead. Late in the 4th Quarter, the Colts had the ball deep in there own territory. Peyton Manning got sacked on a 4th down setting the stage for two memorable moments. On 1st and Goal from the 2, the Steelers gave the ball to Jerome Bettis, who was hit hard at the one yard line and caughed up the football. Indy's Nick Harper grabbed the ball out of the air and looked like he was going all the way, but Ben Roethlisberger would save the Steelers season and Bettis' Career. Roethlisberger would make a shoe string tackle at the Colts 45 yard line. The Colts moved the ball into Steelers territory and Mike Vanderjadt would miss from 38 yards out that would have tied the game.
