A Debut for the ages in Baseball

One year ago tonight, baseball fans in our Nation's Capital were treated to something they will remember for a very long time. Stephen Strasburg, the most highly touted #1 baseball draft pick in recent memory, made his Major League Debut in front of a sell out crowd at Nationals Park. Strasburg pitched 7 Innings, struck out 14 batters and beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-1. Strasburg would pitch 12 games in his rookie season before suffering an elbow injury that would end his season. I had the chance to watch him pitch against the Reds last season and I was very impressed with the youngster.
